Happy Hour Suggestion for Realtors

A realtor friend of mine mentioned to me the other day at a Happy Hour, a way to get referrals that many people overlook. This is unorthodox advice, but truly can be effective. She mentioned: find the most popular bar in the area where you work and get to know all of the bartenders. Let them know you do sales and rentals. When new people come to town, and dine out, they frequently talk to these same bartenders about the neighborhood and their situation since they don't know anyone. Then the bartender refers them to you since you left them your card. Even if you don't drink, you can still go to the bar and have a few cocktails or a soda to get your name out there....:)
